Mirko Liebthal has been a member of the board since the founding of Andersch (later: FTI-Andersch).
As a trained banker and an economist he leads the restructuring projects of owner-managed companies and public limited companies. He is specialized in the automotive, engineering and service sectors.
Mirko Liebthal has extensive experience in the areas of restructuring, refinancing, cost reduction programs, options analyses and strategic development. He worked in the restructuring department of a leading auditing and consulting company in Berlin and Frankfurt a.M. for 12 years and during this time he was responsible for numerous restructuring projects. In 2009, he was made a partner of the firm and successfully passed the exam as an auditor.
When working on restructuring projects, his main focus is on improving the competitiveness and going-concern ability of his clients and on sustainably securing the capital invested. During an operative restructuring he focuses on optimizing the business model and implementing growth and consolidation strategies.
In the case of a financial restructuring, his emphasis lies on the optimization and steering of liquidity management and the financing. Mirko Liebthal’s extensive negotiating experience is especially useful should any questions concerning refinancing or recapitalization arise.
Mirko Liebthal is married and has two children.
